Redyoos Nominated for the 2025 Earthshot Prize — A Global Recognition for Local Change

We’re deeply honored to share this incredible news — Redyoos has been nominated for the 2025 Earthshot Prize.

Created by Prince William and The Royal Foundation, the Earthshot Prize is one of the world’s most prestigious environmental awards, recognizing innovative, scalable solutions that help repair our planet by 2030.

For our small Seattle-based team, this nomination represents something much bigger than us — it’s a reflection of what can happen when everyday people come together to make sustainability simple, human, and real.

From Seattle to the World

What began as a local movement to make jewelry recycling free and accessible has now been recognized on a global stage.

At Redyoos, we help people recycle their unwanted or broken jewelry — transforming forgotten materials into resources for clean energy and circular manufacturing. Every kit sent back, every partnership formed, every story shared has contributed to a growing community that believes change doesn’t require perfection — just participation.

Now, that mission is being celebrated among global innovators, scientists, and changemakers all working toward the same goal: a waste-free world.

A Message from Cleo Escarez, Founder of Redyoos

“This Earthshot Prize award 2025 nomination is not just for us, but for everyone who has persevered in the face of adversity to create positive change. I am truly overwhelmed with gratitude and humility. I can’t wait to be in Brazil this November and see where this next chapter takes us. Thank you to our amazing community for believing in us, and here’s to keeping the momentum going! We’re just getting started.”

Why It Matters

The Earthshot Prize focuses on five goals to repair the planet by 2030:

  1. Protect and Restore Nature
  2. Clean Our Air
  3. Revive Our Oceans
  4. Build a Waste-Free World
  5. Fix Our Climate

Redyoos is proud to contribute to Building a Waste-Free World. By recycling jewelry — an often-overlooked source of valuable metals — we help reduce mining, conserve resources, and extend the life of materials that already exist.

Each small act of recycling helps shift the system toward circularity, proving that even the smallest items can have extraordinary impact.

What’s Next

Cleo will join the global Earthshot community in Brazil this November, where innovators from around the world will gather to share ideas, solutions, and stories of resilience.

For Redyoos, this milestone is both a recognition and a responsibility — a reminder to keep leading with purpose and to keep building systems that make sustainability easy for everyone. Because when we take care of what already exists, we create a future that works — for people, and for the planet.

Thank You

To our Seattle community, our recycling partners, and every person who’s ever mailed in a piece of jewelry — this nomination is yours, too.

Together, we’re showing the world that sustainability can start small, scale beautifully, and spark real hope.

We’re just getting started.
